Volunteer Guide: Child Check-Ins at Church

Our Check-In Guide is crafted to streamline the process of managing check-ins, ensuring a secure and efficient system. This guide covers essential steps for volunteers who will be assisting families with the check-in process, and utilizing technology to ensure safety and ease of access.



Check-In Process


From the Sunday School menu, select Child Check-In.

Choose the event you are checking people into.

Family Check-In


Check-ins can be done individually or in bulk. To check in a family, locate their name in the check-in families section.

If a child isn't already linked to a family in the system, add them through their family's profile by selecting the Family name.

Selecting and Confirming Check-Ins

After locating a family, clicking their identifier or row will navigate to the check-in screen.

Here, you can check in individuals or the entire household in bulk.

Prior to confirming check-in, you can update authorized guardians and add additional notes.

Printing Labels and Check-Out

Labels can be printed in bulk or individually.

To check out a child, either scan the QR code on their label or select their name from the check-in screen then confirm which authorized guardian is checking out.


Group & Event Check-In


If you're assigned to check-in for a specific classroom or event, Group Check-In allows you to see the entire group assigned to the classroom or event at once.

Choose the Group you are checking in.
Here, check-ins and label printing can be done individually or in bulk. Select "Details" to begin check-out.

To check out a child, either scan the QR code on their label or select their name from the check-in screen, confirm who's picking them up, and you're done.

If you are not checking out with a QR code, you can check out individuals or in bulk by Family or by Group, which is the same process as checking in.


Here you can review authorized guardians, the chain of custody, and add or review notes.

By selecting a guardian you can review their contact information, send a text/chat, or record a communication.

When you're ready, click "Check Out" and confirm.
