How to Add a New Relationship
SteepleMate makes it simple to manage and track relationships within your church community. Whether you're adding family members, friends, or other connections, follow these steps to add a new relationship in SteepleMate’s person management section.
Step 1: Access People Management
- From the left-side navigation menu, click on Manage, and then select People.
- Enter the name of the head of the family in the search bar and click Search to locate their profile.
Step 2: Open the Relationships Section
- Once the person’s profile appears, scroll down slightly until you find the Relationships section.
- Click on the Relationships header to expand this section and see the person's current relationships.
Step 3: Adding a New Relationship
- Click on Choose to add a new person as a relationship.
- A search field will appear—input the name of the new person you want to add as a relationship.
- Once the name is entered, select the appropriate relationship type (e.g., spouse, child, sibling, etc.) and add any relevant notes if necessary.
- Click Search to locate the new person you are adding.
Step 4: Save the New Relationship
- Once the new person is found and selected, click Save to finalize the relationship.
- The new relationship will now be reflected under the Relationships section of the head of the family’s profile.
Additional Tips:
- You can add notes about the relationship to provide more context, such as clarifying complex family structures or specific roles.
- Ensure the names are spelled correctly and that the relationship type is accurate to maintain clear and organized records.
