How to Create Group Calendar Events in SteepleMate

Creating group calendar events in SteepleMate helps your church or ministry stay organized by easily scheduling and tracking group meetings. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up group events, including recurring appointments, room assignments, and RSVP options.

Steps to Create Group Calendar Events:

  1. Navigate to 'Manage Groups'

    • Open the left navigation menu.
    • Click on Care Center.
    • Then click on Manage Groups.
  2. Select the Group
Choose the group for which you would like to create a calendar event.
(Note: Having a designated group simplifies event communication and scheduling. Without this, you would need to manually inform each member individually.)

  3. Set Group Visibility

    • Click on Visibility.
    • Select the visibility options for the group by checking the relevant boxes (e.g., which members or teams can view this group’s events).
  4. Navigate to the Church Calendar

    • In the left navigation menu, click on Calendar.
    • Then select Church Calendar to view the calendar for event management.
  5. Create a New Recurring Appointment

    • Right-click on the date where you'd like the event to begin.
    • Click on New Recurring Appointment to open the event creation form.
  6. Fill in Event Details

    • Complete the Subject and Description fields with the event’s name and details.
    • If applicable, click Allow RSVPs to let attendees RSVP to the event.
  7. Assign the Group

    • Select the group this event is for.
    • Click the arrow to move the group into the active event list.
  8. Assign a Room

    • Click on the Rooms section.
    • Select the room in which the event will take place.
    • Move it into the event by clicking the arrow.
  9. Set Event Frequency

    • Specify how often this event should recur (e.g., weekly, monthly).
    • Choose the days on which the event will occur.
  10. Save the Event
Once all details are complete, click Save to finalize and add the group event to the calendar.
