How to Designate a Person as a Member in SteepleMate

This guide will walk you through the process of marking someone as a member of your church in SteepleMate. While a person may already be categorized as “Church Family,” you can further specify their membership status and track the date they became a member.

Steps to Designate Membership

  1. Navigate to the People Management Section
    1. From the Left Navigation Menu, select Manage > People.

  2. Search for the Person
    1. Use the search bar to find the individual whose membership status you want to update.
    2. Click on the person’s profile to open the Person Manager Screen.

  3. Update Membership in the Dates Section
    1. Within the person’s profile, go to the Dates Section.
    2. Locate the field labeled Membership Date.

  4. Indicate Membership
    1. Checkbox: Mark the checkbox to indicate that the person is a church member.
    2. Date Field (Optional): Enter the date the individual became a member. This field is optional but useful for record-keeping.

  5. Save Your Changes
    1. Ensure you click Save to update the person’s membership status.
