How to View and Export the Giving Detail Report in SteepleMate

The Giving Detail Report in SteepleMate provides a comprehensive overview of recent donations, categorized by your chosen criteria. This guide explains how to view, filter, and export the report, as well as how to manage duplicates and understand the report’s details.

  1. Access the Giving Detail Report

    1. Navigate to the Finance menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
    2. Select Giving Detail from the submenu.

  2. Filter the Report

    1. Specify the Date Range for the donations you want to view.
    2. Select the Payment Categories (e.g., Tithes, Offerings) to include in the report.
    3. Click the green Search button to generate the report.

Important Notes About the Giving Detail Report

  1. Duplicate Names in the Report:

    1. You may notice duplicate names in the report. This can happen when:
      1. Donors give without signing in.
      2. Donors fill out multiple welcome cards, creating duplicate records.
    2. Refer to the Resolve Duplicates help guide for instructions on merging duplicate records.
  2. Online Giving Expenses:
    1. The donations shown in the report are not adjusted for online giving fees.
    2. For example: A $100 credit card donation will appear as $100, but the actual cash deposit will be approximately $97 after processing fees.


Additional Features of the Report

  1. Expand Nodes: Click to expand all nodes in the report to see individual donor details, including:
    1. The amount donated.
    2. The categories to which donations were allocated.
  2. Export the Report: At the top-right corner of the report, click the Export button.
    1. Choose your preferred file format: PDF, Excel, CSV, or other available formats.
