Customizing Marquee and Kiosk Options in SteepleMate for Prayer Requests, Victory Reports, and Giving

Marquee and Kiosk Options in SteepleMate

The Marquee and Kiosk Options section in SteepleMate allows you to customize the content, visibility, and functionality of your church’s marquee or web kiosk. Whether you want to display prayer requests, victory reports, or enable giving through kiosks, these settings give you the flexibility to create a dynamic and user-friendly experience for your church community.

Step 1: Accessing Marquee and Kiosk Options

  1. Go to the Left Navigation Menu
From your SteepleMate dashboard, navigate to the left-hand menu and click "Organization Settings".

  2. Open the Marquee and Kiosk Options Section
Select "Marquee and Kiosk Options" to begin customizing your settings.

Step 2: Controlling Content Visibility

You have the ability to manage which content is visible on your marquee or kiosk, allowing you to share prayer requests, victory reports, and more with your congregation.

Prayer Requests, Victory Reports, Prayer Warriors

  • Prayer Requests: You can choose to display prayer requests submitted by members. You can control how long they appear on the marquee, with options ranging from not showing them at all to keeping them visible for up to 7 days.
  • Victory Reports: Share success stories or answered prayers, with similar options for visibility.
  • Prayer Warriors: Recognize individuals who are actively praying for others by displaying their involvement.

Sharing and Importing Content

  • You can opt to share prayer requests, victory reports, and other elements from your church, or import shared content from other churches or organizations.

Step 3: Enabling Anonymous Prayer Sign-In

If you'd like to allow users to submit prayer requests anonymously, you can enable or disable this option:

  • Allow Anonymous Prayer Sign-In: Check this box if you want to allow individuals to submit prayer requests without requiring a sign-in.

Step 4: Pre-Screening Options for Content

To ensure that all content displayed on your marquee or kiosk is appropriate, SteepleMate offers filtering and manual review settings.

Automatic Filtering

  • SteepleMate’s Advanced Filtering System: This will automatically filter out any profanity or inappropriate content before it's displayed on your marquee or kiosk.

Manual Review

  • If you'd prefer to review every submission, you can enable Manual Review to ensure that no content is displayed without approval.

Step 5: Setting Up Machine Alert Notifications

To keep your kiosks running smoothly, you can set up alerts that notify designated individuals when a machine experiences connectivity issues or goes offline.

  • Machine Alert Notifications: Enable this feature to receive notifications when kiosks have technical problems.

You can customize the alert settings:

  1. Recipient Group: Select the group that will receive machine issue alerts.
  2. Minutes to Wait Before Alerting: Set the delay time before the system sends out a notification when a machine goes offline.
  3. Alert Interval: Specify how frequently the alert should be sent (for example, every 30 minutes) until the issue is resolved.

Step 6: Allowing Giving on Kiosks

SteepleMate’s kiosks can be equipped to facilitate giving through a QR code, allowing users to donate directly from their phones.

  • Allow Giving on Kiosks: By enabling this option, a giving icon will be displayed on the main kiosk screen. When users select it, they will be prompted to scan a QR code to complete their donation on their mobile devices.

Design Note: If your kiosk includes custom artwork, be sure to leave space for the QR code, or incorporate the code into your design for a seamless experience.

Step 7: Save Your Changes

Once you have configured the marquee and kiosk options to your preference, don’t forget to:

  • Click "Save" to apply all changes.

Summary of Key Features in Marquee and Kiosk Options

  • Content Visibility: Customize the display of prayer requests, victory reports, and more.
  • Sharing and Importing Content: Share or import prayer-related content with other churches.
