I accidentally deleted someone's profile. What can I recover?
Can a deleted profile be recovered?
Unfortunately, due to compliance requirements, once a profile has been expunged in SteepleMate, it cannot be recovered. This action is permanent and irreversible.
Is any data retained after deletion?
While the individual’s personal profile is permanently deleted, their giving data remains intact within the system’s batch deposits. However, this giving data will no longer be directly associated with their profile.
How can I generate a contribution statement for the deleted person?
Since the profile no longer exists, SteepleMate cannot generate a contribution statement for them automatically. You will need to manually create one outside of SteepleMate using the retained giving records.
What should I do to avoid accidental deletions in the future?
If you intended to merge duplicate records rather than delete a profile, we recommend using the Administration > Resolve Duplicates feature instead. This ensures that all relevant data remains intact and properly associated with the correct individual.
