Launching SteepleMate to Your Church

Before You Start

Ensure your system is fully configured for member registration. Refer to the Help Guide for Configuring Registrations and Sign-Ups before proceeding.


Launch Overview

Churches can launch SteepleMate in various ways, depending on your setup and whether your church directory has been imported.
  1. For churches not using member-facing features (e.g., Prayer Network or Online Giving): A formal launch may not be necessary.
  2. For churches utilizing member-facing features: Success relies on church-driven promotional efforts.
Choose from the launch options below based on your church's setup.


Option 1: Launch with a Church Directory Import

If you’ve imported your church directory into SteepleMate, you can use these methods:

1. Send a System Welcome Email

  • A pre-configured welcome email invites church members to register.
  • Steps:
    1. From the left navigation, select Communicate.
    2. Click Send Messages.

    3. Select the green Create New button, then select Send System Welcome Emails

    4. Follow the prompts to customize the reply-to address and recipient list.
    5. Choose to send the email to Everyone, Specific People, or Groups.
    6. The welcome email is sent with no additional configuration needed.

2. Send a Mass Text Message

Share a quick link to the sign-up page with the unique church key.
Steps:
  1. Go to the Communicate section.
  2. Select Text Messages and create a new message.
  3. Include:
    1. The sign-up page link.
    2. Your church’s unique registration key.
  4. Send the message to your desired audience.

3. Promote the Mobile App

Encourage members to download the SteepleMate mobile app to get started.

  1. Email campaigns.
  2. Text messages.
  3. QR codes displayed on screens or printed on materials.
Once the app is downloaded, members can select Sign-Up or Registration to begin.


Option 2: Launch Without a Church Directory Import

1. Share the Sign-Up Page Link

Provide your church’s unique sign-up page link and include the registration key.

Share the link via:

  • Social media platforms.
  • Church email newsletters.
  • In-service announcements during worship or events.

2. Use QR Codes

Generate a QR code linked to the sign-up page for easy access.

Add the QR code to:

  • Church bulletins.
  • Posters or displays in high-traffic areas.
  • Digital screens during announcements.


Additional Tips for a Successful Launch

1. Promote Widely

Leverage all available communication channels:
  1. Social Media: Share sign-up details, tutorials, or testimonials.
  2. Email Campaigns: Provide clear instructions and app download links.
  3. In-Service Announcements: Highlight benefits during services or meetings.

2. Educate Members

Help members understand the value of SteepleMate, including:
  1. Accessing upcoming events.
  2. Participating in the Prayer Network.
  3. Giving online or managing donations.

3. Offer Support

Provide assistance during the initial launch period:
  1. Set up a Help Desk or team to answer questions and guide members through the process.
  2. Host short training sessions or tutorials before or after services.

4. Monitor and Adjust

  1. Track member registrations and engagement using the admin dashboard.
  2. Solicit feedback from members to address any issues quickly.

Sign-Up Made Easy

Provide multiple ways for your members to join and get started.

Web Sign-Up

Direct members to your church’s SteepleMate page:
  1. Typically: yourchurchprefix.steeplemate.com
  2. Alternatively: Use this default link for sign-ups.

Mobile App Sign-Up

Encourage members to download the app on their devices:
  1. iOS Users: Download from the App Store
  2. Android Users: Download from Google Play
Once downloaded:
  1. Open the app and locate your church. 
  2. Tap Sign-In, then Sign-Up to Registration.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete their profile.
