Bringing Your Sermons to Life: Linking Past Facebook Live to Your SteepleMate Church Website

In today’s digital world, connecting with your congregation online is essential. This guide will show you how to link your past Facebook Live sermons directly to your SteepleMate Church website. Whether you're new to tech or an experienced user, this step-by-step tutorial will help you expand your digital outreach.

Steps to Link Facebook Live Sermons to Your SteepleMate Church Website:

  1. Find Your Facebook Live Video

    • Navigate to your church's Facebook page.
    • Find the Facebook Live video you want to share on your SteepleMate church website.
    • Click the three dots at the top right corner of the video post to reveal the Actions for this post menu.
    • Select Copy Link to get the URL of the video.
  2. Log into Your SteepleMate Account

    • Go to SteepleMate.com and log into your account.
    • From the left navigation menu, click on Media.
  3. Manage Your Media Library

    • Click on Manage Library. This is where you can manage the media available on your website and mobile app.
    • Vimeo and external video links (such as Facebook Live) will automatically show up on your Custom Church Website once added.
  4. Customize Media Types (Optional)

    • If desired, you can further organize your media by clicking on Manage Media Types to create or edit media categories.
  5. Add a New Media Entry

    • Click on New to start adding your Facebook Live video.
    • Select External Video as the Media Source since you’re using a link from Facebook.
  6. Add the Facebook Live Video URL

    • Click Use Existing URL and paste the link you copied from your Facebook post.
  7. Add Media Thumbnail

    • To include a thumbnail image for your media, you have two options:
      • Use Existing URL: Paste the URL of the image you want to use.
      • Upload New: Choose an image from your device to upload.
  8. Enter Media Details

    • Fill in the following fields:
      • Media Name: The title of your sermon or event.
      • Media Description: A brief description of the sermon or content.
      • Media Date: The date of the sermon.
  9. Set Media Visibility

    • Select the visibility preference for the media:
      • Public: The media will be visible on your SteepleMate church website to everyone, including those who aren’t logged in.
      • Logged-In Users: The media will only be accessible to users with at least Kiosk access.
  10. Save the Media

  • After filling in all the details, click Save to add the video to your media library.
  1. Editing Media (Optional)
  • If you need to edit the media later, click on the > icon next to the media entry.
  • Then click Edit to make any changes.
