How to Send Emails in SteepleMate

How to Send Emails in SteepleMate

This guide will walk you through using the email features in SteepleMate, including sending messages to individuals and groups.

Composing a New Email

  1. From the left navigation menu, select Communicate > Send Messages.

  1. Click the Create New button. From the dropdown menu, choose Email Message.

  1. You will now be in the message composer. Compose your email, enter your subject line, and select a Reply-To Email Address to ensure any responses or bounce-back messages go to your church’s email.

Warning
If no Reply-To address is entered, undelivered emails (e.g., full inboxes or invalid email addresses) will return to SteepleMate instead of your church.

Sending an Email to an Individual

  1. After composing your email, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Choose Recipients Manually.
  2. Click Add Individuals Manually.

  3. Use the search field to find the recipient by name.
  4. Select the person’s name and click Continue.

  5. Review your email. If needed, make changes or add attachments.
  6. Click Send Now to send the message.

Sending an Email to a Group

  1. Instead of selecting Choose Recipients Manually, select Send by Groups.

  2. Choose the group you want to send the email to (e.g., All Church Attendees).

  3. Click Send Now to distribute the email to everyone in the group.

Adding Attachments to Your Email

  1. To include an image (e.g., a contribution report saved as an image file), click the Insert Image button in the message composer.

  1. Browse your computer and select the image file you want to attach.

Alert
Note: PDF attachments are not supported in emails. If you need to send a contribution statement, save it as an image first. (Refer to a separate help guide for instructions on saving a PDF as an image.)

Final Review Before Sending

  1. Before clicking Send Now, review your email.
  1. You can go back to make edits, change recipients, or update images if needed.
