How to Send Emails in SteepleMate
This guide will walk you through using the email features in SteepleMate, including sending messages to individuals and groups.
Composing a New Email
Navigate to the Email Composer
- From the left navigation menu, select Communicate > Send Messages.

- Click the Create New button. From the dropdown menu, choose Email Message.
- You will now be in the message composer. Compose your email, enter your subject line, and select a Reply-To Email Address to ensure any responses or bounce-back messages go to your church’s email.

If no Reply-To address is entered, undelivered emails (e.g., full inboxes or invalid email addresses) will return to SteepleMate instead of your church.
Sending an Email to an Individual
- After composing your email, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Choose Recipients Manually.
- Click Add Individuals Manually.

- Use the search field to find the recipient by name.
- Select the person’s name and click Continue.
- Review your email. If needed, make changes or add attachments.
- Click Send Now to send the message.
Sending an Email to a Group
- Instead of selecting Choose Recipients Manually, select Send by Groups.
- Choose the group you want to send the email to (e.g., All Church Attendees).
- Click Send Now to distribute the email to everyone in the group.
Adding Attachments to Your Email
- To include an image (e.g., a contribution report saved as an image file), click the Insert Image button in the message composer.

- Browse your computer and select the image file you want to attach.

Note: PDF attachments are not supported in emails. If you need to send a contribution statement, save it as an image first. (Refer to a separate help guide for instructions on saving a PDF as an image.)
Final Review Before Sending
- Before clicking Send Now, review your email.
- You can go back to make edits, change recipients, or update images if needed.
